Palliative Care Interdisciplinary Advisory Council

Senate Bill 119 by Representative Colomb creates a Palliative Care Interdisciplinary Advisory Council.  The council will assess the availability of palliative care in Louisiana and make recommendations to the secretary of LDH and the legislature.  They will also establish a statewide palliative care consumer and professional information and education program to ensure that  accurate information and education about palliative care is available to the public, healthcare providers and healthcare facilities.   • 1 palliative care program administrator
  • 1 spiritual care professional
  • 1 insurance plan adminitrator
  • 3 patient and family advocates
